The Celtics intend to sign power forward Juwan Morgan to a 10-day contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Morgan, 24, is 6-foot-7 and has been playing for the Maine Celtics of the G League, averaging 12.6 points and 6.0 rebounds in 29 games. He appeared in one NBA game with the Raptors this season, after signing a contract in December.
He signed with the Celtics in September, but was waived before the season, leading him to Maine.
Undrafted out of Indiana in 2019, Morgan spent his first two seasons with the Jazz, appearing in a combined 50 games and averaging 1.4 points.
Celtics big man Robert Williams III suffered a leg injury Sunday and is expected to miss some time, so it makes sense for them to add another big man for the final two weeks of the season.
