The Clippers have waived guard Yogi Ferrell, reducing the roster to 15, the team announced in a press release.
Ferrell, 28, is 6-foot-0 and signed a 10-day contract with the Clippers in April, followed by a multiyear standard deal. He appeared in eight games with LA, averaging 4.6 points and 2.1 assists during the regular season.
He also appeared in nine playoff games, though all came at the end of games when the outcome had already been decided.
The Clippers have 14 players on guaranteed deals, along with shooting guard Jay Scrubb on a two-way contract and an Exhibit 10 contract with small forward George King. And as Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors relayed, has a two-way qualifying offer on the table for guard/forward Amir Coffey.
Ferrell has also spent time with the Cavaliers, Kings, Mavericks and Nets, so there is a decent chance he finds a new hoops home somewhere soon.
