The Clippers have waived center/forward Harry Giles III, the team announced in a press release.
Giles, 23, is 6-foot-11 and appeared in 38 games with the Trail Blazers last season, averaging 2.8 points and 3.5 rebounds.
He spent the first two seasons of his career with the Kings, and carries career averages of 5.9 points and 3.8 boards. Sacramento drafted Giles out of Duke with the No. 20 overall pick in 2017.
While releasing Giles, the Clippers will be retaining center Isaiah Hartenstein, as reported earlier.
“Excited. It’s been great so far,” Hartenstein told reporters. “I love the organization so far.”
Hartenstein will serve as a backup to center Serge Ibaka and Ivica Zubac. Giles will become an unrestricted free agent upon clearing waivers.
