The Bulls are playing well against most of the NBA’s best teams, as relayed by Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times.
But that may not necessarily be a good thing. After all, they have the league’s second-easiest schedule remaining, Cowley noted.
“‘I guess the best brings the best out of you,’’ small forward DeMar DeRozan said, via Cowley. ‘‘Now we’ve got to translate that over to carrying that within and go out there and play like that every single night. …
‘‘We’ve got to play with that sense of urgency every single night, and nights like this [in Wednesday’s win over the Bucks] we’ve got to turn into consistency.’’
The Bulls (15-19) are creating quite a conundrum for the front office. Should they look to blow it up before the Feb. 9 trade deadline, or just stay the course and see what happens?
‘‘That’s what makes a great movie,” DeRozan said. “We’ve just got to end it off well. Definitely been entertaining.’’
One season after making a playoff appearance, things still seem shaky in Chicago. But as Cowley noted, there’s still time before the hard decisions have to be made.
