Duncan Robinson Leaves Heat For Pistons In Sign-And-Trade Deal

Duncan Robinson is leaving the Miami Heat for the Detroit Pistons in a sign-and-trade deal. 

Robinson has agreed to a three-year, $48 million deal with the Pistons, who are trading Simone Fontecchio to the Heat. 

Robinson played in 74 games for the Heat last season. He averaged 11.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists while shooting 43.7% from the field, 39.3% from beyond the arc and 88.7% from the free-throw line. 

The 31-year-old Robinson is an undrafted player. He joined the Heat in 2018. The shooting guard has career averages of 11.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists while shooting 39.7% from 3. 

The Pistons made the playoffs last season for the first time since 2019. They lost to the New York Knicks in the first round in six games. 

Meanwhile, the Heat were swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round.
