Former Cavaliers coach David Blatt is serving as a consultant for Team Canada at the FIBA World Cup and took in the USA’s easy win over Greece on Monday.
Blatt, 64, took the Cavs to the Finals in his first season as a coach in the NBA in any fashion. He remains a coaching legend internationally, but recently has been sidelined with MS. But as you can see, he’s not letting it keep him away from the game.

After a one-and-half season with the Cavs, in which his LeBron James-led squad lost to the Warriors in the Finals in 2015, Blatt returned to Europe to coach Turkish club Darussafaka (2016-18) and then Greek power Olympiacos (2018-19).
He was hired by then-Cavs GM David Griffin in the summer of 2014, before James revealed he would return to the franchise. The coach and star player never really connected, and Blatt was fired midway through the 2015-16 season with a 30-11 record. The Cavs, under coach Tyronn Lue, went on to win their lone championship that year.
