NBA free agent center/forward and former lottery pick Thon Maker has agreed to a contract with Israeli club Hapoel Jerusalem, as relayed by EuroHoops.
Maker, 24, is 7-foot-0 and was selected by the Bucks with the No. 10 overall draft pick in 2016. He has also spent time with the Pistons, before latching on with the Cavs, appearing in eight games in 2020-21. The Cavs waived him on Jan. 13.
Maker carries NBA career averages of 4.6 points and 2.8 rebounds, shooting 50 percent from the field.
He reportedly drew interest in free agency from the Knicks and the Heat, but both teams ultimately chose to go in another direction.
Hapoel Jerusalem competes in the Israeli Basketball Premier League, as well as the Israeli State Cup and the Basketball Champions League.
