Free agent point guard Shannon Scott has agreed to a contract with German club Brose Bamberg, according to Nicola Lupo of Sportando.
Scott, 28, is 6-foot-1 and went undrafted out of Ohio State in 2015. He has since spent time in the G League with Raptors 905 and the Long Island Nets, and has played professionally in Greece, Venezuela and Lithuania.
He is the son of Hall of Famer Charlie Scott, who spent two seasons in the ABA and eight in the NBA.
Lupo wrote that Brose Bamberg “was active on the market to add depth to their backcourt after Frankie Ferrari decided to leave and retire from professional basketball due to health reasons.”
Shannon Scott averaged 4.3 points with Long Island in the G League bubble last season. He is a former member of the Big Ten All-Defensive team.
