Former Ohio State small forward and NBA draft pick Deshaun Thomas has signed with German club Bayern Munich, the team announced in a press release.
Thomas, 29, is 6-foot-7 and was selected by the Spurs in the second round (No. 58 overall) of the 2013 NBA Draft.
He has spent his entire pro career overseas, most recently with Alvark Tokyo of Japan. He has also played in Greece, Turkey, Italy, Spain and France, as well as with the Austin Spurs of the G League.
“I am sure I have a lot of experience, but above all I am the type who stands for solidarity, who is a hard worker and who wants to win,” Thomas said in a statement announcing his decision to sign with Bayern. “I can score, but I fight just as hard for rebound and defense.”
He averaged 13.9 points and 4.4 rebounds in the 2019-20 season with Greek club Panathinaikos.
