Free agent center Filip Petrusev intends to sign with Greek club Olympiacos now that he cleared NBA waivers, per Aris Barkas of Eurohoops.
Petrusev, 23, is 6-foot-11 and was waived by the Sacramento Kings late last week after appearing in just two games. He was traded by the Philadelphia 76ers to the Los Angeles Clippers earlier this season as part of the James Harden deal.
The Clippers traded him (along with cash) to the Kings on the same day.
Petrusev appeared in one game with the 76ers, with this serving as his rookie season. He played college basketball at Gonzaga and was the No. 50 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
His contract with Olympiacos will include an NBA-out clause, meaning he could return to the league during the international season should be receive another offer, per Barkas.
