Former Suns shooting guard D.J. Strawberry has agreed to a contract with French club Orléans Loiret, per Eurobasket.
Strawberry, 36, is 6-foot-5 and was selected by the Suns in the second round (No. 57 overall) of the 2007 NBA Draft. He signed a two-year deal with Phoenix at the time, appearing in 33 games as a rookie. He has not returned to the NBA since.
This actually marks his second run with Orleans, as he also played for the club in 2019-20. He spent last season in Spain, and has also made stops in Japan, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Israel, Lithuania and Italy.
He has also spent time with the Reno Bighorns of the G League and the Lakers’ summer league team.
