Free agent guard/forwards James Ennis has agreed to a contract with Israeli club Hapoel Haifa, per JD Shaw of Hoops Rumors.
Ennis, 31, is 6-foot-6 and signed 10-day contracts with the Nets, Clippers and Nuggets this season, all of which came during the December-January COVID surge. He appeared in seven total games and averaged 4.1 points.
Last season with the Magic, Ennis averaged 8.4 points and 4.0 rebounds in 41 games with the Magic. He has also spent time with the 76ers, Rockets, Pistons, Grizzlies, Pelicans and Heat.
“After being selected with the 50th overall pick in the 2013 draft, Ennis began his professional career as a draft-and-stash player, spending a year in Australia and Puerto Rico before coming stateside in 2014,” Shaw wrote.
Ennis intends to leave the door open for a return to the NBA, Shaw added, though it seems such an opportunity isn’t likely to present itself until the offseason.
