The Clippers have agreed to an Exhibit 10 training camp contract with small forward George King, agents Harrison Gaines and Charles Misuraca told Law Murray of The Athletic.
King, 27, is 6-foot-6 and was originally selected by the Suns in the second round (No. 59 overall) of the 2018 draft.
He appeared in one game with Phoenix as a rookie for his only NBA experience. He has spent time playing professionally in Germany, Poland and Italy since 2019-20.
The Clippers currently have 14 players on guaranteed contracts, as well as point guard Yogi Ferrell, who is on a nonguaranteed deal.
“However, King’s Exhibit 10 deal could put him in line for a $50K bonus if he ends up joining the club’s G League affiliate, the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario,” wrote Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors. “He may also be a candidate to have his Exhibit 10 contract converted to a two-way deal.”
