Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo would “love” to land with the Heat if he cannot secure a move to the Knicks, according to Howard Beck of The Ringer.

Beck shared the insight during an appearance on The Zach Lowe Show, noting that multiple league voices raised Miami as a real preference for the two-time MVP.

The Knicks and Heat are both expected to pursue Antetokounmpo if the Bucks reach a point where they entertain trade discussions. Milwaukee has made it clear it will only consider a deal if Antetokounmpo formally asks to be moved.

Antetokounmpo and Heat center Bam Adebayo share the same agent, Alex Saratsis of Octagon, which could help fuel Miami’s appeal.

Antetokounmpo nearly became a Knick before the season, and Shams Charania of ESPN recently reported that New York no longer holds an exclusive negotiating window if the Bucks open the door to trade talks.

Antetokounmpo is making $54.1 million this season and holds a $62.8 million player option for 2027-28. He does not have a no-trade clause.

Before suffering a right calf strain, he was averaging 28.9 points, 10.1 rebounds and 6.1 assists while shooting nearly 64 percent from the field.

A two-time MVP, Finals MVP, Defensive Player of the Year and nine-time All-Star, Antetokounmpo remains one of the league’s defining forces. If he asks out, virtually every contender will attempt to join the bidding.
