Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke was arrested Wednesday in Arkansas on multiple charges, including speeding and possession of a controlled substance, according to local authorities.
The Cross County Sheriff’s Department listed Clarke as being booked on charges that also include improper passing, fleeing and trafficking a controlled substance.
Coach Tuomas Iisalo didn’t offer much before Wednesday’s game against the Knicks.
“I’m aware of the report, but don’t have any comments,” he said.
Clarke has barely been on the court this season.
Injuries limited him to just two games. He missed extended time recovering from right knee surgery, returned briefly in December, then went down again with a calf strain. The team has already ruled him out for the rest of the year.
Memphis said last week that Clarke still needs more healing before being cleared for high-intensity work, but expects him back next season.
