Biyombo, 31, is 6-foot-8 and spent the past two years with the Suns, appearing in 61 games last season, compiling averages of 4.3 points and 4.3 rebounds. While no one expects him to be the next Adams, Biyombo is generally a physical and active big man with plenty of experience.
He has also spent time with the Hornets, Magic and Raptors.
Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, Biyombo is receiving a one-year, $5 million contract, with $1 million guaranteed.
The Grizzlies are aiming to add some depth at the center position after Steven Adams underwent season-ending knee surgery.
