The Grizzlies have signed undrafted rookie guard/forward Yves Pons, the team announced in a press release.
Pons is 6-foot-6 and a native of France. He played all four years of college at Tennessee, averaging 8.7 points and 5.3 rebounds last season. Along with that, he was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year for 2019-20.
Per Chris Herrington of the Daily Memphian, Pons has signed an Exhibit 10 deal. An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum salary deal that does not include the possibility of bonuses.
Pons will join a Memphis wing rotation that already includes the likes of Dillon Brooks, De’Anthony Melton, Kyle Anderson, Desmond Bane and rookie Ziaire Williams.
