Free agent guard Derrick Rose is signing a two-year, $6.5 million deal with the Grizzlies, per Ian Begley of SNY.tv.
Rose, 34, was waived by the Knicks earlier in the week, having played a limited role last season. He averaged 5.6 points in 27 appearances.
The Grizzlies are hoping he can help hold down the fort until starter Ja Morant returns from a 25-game suspension.
Rose, of course, played his college ball in Memphis. In the NBA, he has also spent time with the Bulls, Cavaliers and Pistons, along with his two stints with the Knicks.
Free agent Derrick Rose intends to sign a multi-year agreement with the Memphis Grizzlies, per SNY sources.
