Things just haven’t seemed fair for the Memphis Grizzlies this season, and it’s not likely to get better anytime soon.
That’s especially the case after it was revealed that star guard Ja Morant will undergo season-ending surgery on his right shoulder.

This after Morant had just returned from a 25-game suspension and the Grizzlies had started to turn a corner. Now, though, after losing center Steven Adams to knee surgery, and now Morant … it’s safe to say this is a lost season in Memphis.
Per Ryan Young of Yahoo Sports: “Morant returned from his suspension last month, where he dropped 34 points and hit the game winning shot to lift the Grizzlies past the New Orleans Pelicans. Morant has averaged 25.1 points, 8.1 assists and 5.6 rebounds in his nine games this season.”
Morant is expected to be ready to go for next season’s training camp, and frankly, the Grizzlies should just prepare for that and play out the string while adding any necessary pieces for the rest of this year.
