The Hawks are converting the two-way contract of shooting guard Skylar Mays to a standard deal for the rest of the season, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Mays, 24, is 6-foot-4 and signed a two-way deal with the Hawks in August. He has appeared in 27 games and is averaging 3.0 points.
Mays also played for the Hawks last season, playing 33 regular-season games and appearing in three playoff games, including one game in the Eastern Conference finals.
The Hawks originally drafted Mays in the second round (No. 50 overall) of the 2020 NBA Draft out of LSU. He was named first-team All-SEC as a senior with the Tigers.
