The Hawks are among those have been pursuing a trade for Raptors forward Pascal Siakam, per Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
Stein also confirmed an earlier report from Michael Grange of Sportsnet that the Pacers have contacted the Raptors about a possible deal centered on Siakam.
While it’s not been determined if the Raptors are shopping Siakam, they at least seem to be willing listeners. Siakam and forward OG Anunoby have been on the trade-rumor mill since before the February deadline, then again this summer.
For instance, the Raptors and Nets reportedly discussed a trade involving Siakam and then-Brooklyn star Kevin Durant in February, before Durant was sent to the Suns.
Now, the Pacers and Hawks are the two teams being linked to Siakam, though others are expected to emerge.
“The Raptors are indeed far more prepared to surrender Siakam than initially realized,” Stein wrote.
Siakam, 29, averaged 24.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists in 71 games last season, shooting 48 percent from the field.
