The Hawks have signed power forward Chris Silva to an Exhibit 10 training camp contract after acquiring his G League rights, as relayed by RealGM.
Silva, 25, is 6-foot-8 and appeared in one game with the Timberwolves last season, as well as another nine with the Heat. He has also spent time with the Kings since entering the NBA in 2019.
Most recently, he spent time with the Iowa Wolves of the G League, but was traded to the College Park SkyHawks in exchange for shooting guard Nik Stauskas, as we relayed here.
Silva appeared in 17 games with the Iowa Wolves last season, averaging 17.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists. He carries NBA career averages of 2.8 points and 2.7 boards in 69 career games overall.
He signed a 10-day contract with the Heat at the end of January, for his last run in the NBA.
Exhibit 10 contracts count toward a team’s offseason roster limit of 20, but not toward the regular roster unless the player receives a standard deal. They almost always are nonguaranteed.
