The Hawks have signed free agent center Johnny Hamilton to a one-year contract, according to Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.
The deal is an Exhibit 10 contract, per Chris Kirchner of The Athletic.
Hamilton, 27, is 7-foot-0 and has spent his entire career overseas, most recently with Turkish club Fenerbahçe. He also played for Montenegrin club Mornar Bar in the EuroCup.
Hamilton is likely to spend time in the G League with the College Park Skyhawks, as Atlanta’s big man rotation already includes the likes of John Collins, Clint Capela, Danilo Gallinari, Onyeka Okongwu and perhaps Jordan Bell.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum salary deal that does not include the possibility of bonuses.
