The Hawks are signing veteran center/forward Derrick Favors, to a 10-day contract, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Favors, 30, was waived by the Rockets back in October. He was acquired by the Rockets in a trade with the Thunder — who acquired him early in the offseason in a deal with the Jazz.
So it’s safe to say he’s moved around quite a bit lately.
Favors returned to the Jazz before the start of last season after a one-year stint with the Pelicans.
He averaged a career-low 5.4 points, as well as 5.5 rebounds, in 68 appearances last year, all while coming off the bench.
For the Hawks, he offers experience, professionalism and depth to the frontcourt, and should get an opportunity to land another 10-day or even season-long deal.
