The Hawks are signing undrafted Wichita State guard Tyson Etienne to an Exhibit 10 contract, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
Etienne, 22, is 6-foot-2 and spent three seasons with the Shockers, averaging 14.9 points and 2.9 rebounds in 27 games in 2021-22. He also shot 41 percent on 3-pointers.
His father, Max, played college basketball at Maryland.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a contract that counts toward the offseason roster limit of 20, but does not count toward the salary cap unless the player makes the team.
All NBA contracts can be finalized once the new league year begins next week. The Las Vegas summer league tips off July 7.
