The Heat are signing power forward Chris Silva to a third 10-day contract via the hardship exception, per Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
Silva, 25, is 6-foot-8 and has appeared in eight games with Miami so far this season, averaging 3.0 points and 3.4 rebounds. He also capably proven to act as an extra inside presence defensively.
Heat guard Tyler Herro is still in health and safety protocols, opening the door for a third deal for Silva.
Silva has also spent time with the Timberwolves and Kings, as well as served a previous stint with the Heat from 2019-21. He carries NBA career averages of 2.8 points and 2.7 boards.
