The Heat have officially signed power forward Chris Silva to a third 10-day contract, the team announced in a press release.
Silva, 25, is 6-foot-8 and has appeared in eight games with Miami so far this season, averaging 3.0 points and 3.4 rebounds. He also capably proven to act as an extra inside presence defensively.
Heat guard Tyler Herro is still in health and safety protocols, opening the door for a third deal for Silva.
Silva has also spent time with the Timberwolves and Kings, as well as served a previous stint with the Heat from 2019-21. He carries NBA career averages of 2.8 points and 2.7 boards.
“Miami does technically have an open spot on its 15-man roster and could re-sign Silva to a standard 10-day contract, but such a deal would count against the team’s cap and tax,” wrote Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors.
