Herro is averaging 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists for the Heat this season while shooting 43.7% from the field, 39.9% from beyond the arc and 83.5% from the free-throw line.
According to NBA reporter Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald, Herro received a PRP injection in his right foot.
The Heat drafted Herro with the 13th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Kentucky. Herro has career averages of 18.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists. He won the 2021-22 Sixth Man of the Year Award.
Miami lost to the Denver Nuggets in the 2023 NBA Finals in five games. It will be fascinating to see how far the squad goes in the 2024 playoffs (if they make it).
The Heat made the NBA Finals in 2020 as well, losing to the Los Angeles Lakers in six games at the Walt Disney World bubble.
In other Heat news, Udonis Haslem and Norris Cole said on “The OGs” show that Pat Riley told players to stop being friends with LeBron James after the NBA legend left South Beach in the summer of 2014.
LeBron left the Heat in the offseason of 2014 and went back to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
LeBron spent four seasons with the Heat. He won two regular-season MVPs, two championships and two Finals MVPs.
The Heat went to four consecutive NBA Finals in the LeBron era. They lost to the Dallas Mavericks in 2011, beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2012 and the San Antonio Spurs in 2013 and lost to the Spurs in 2014.
LeBron averaged 26.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.7 blocks with the Heat. Miami will retire his No. 6 jersey one day.
Earlier this season, LeBron became the first player in NBA history to score 40,000 career points.
