Pat Riley Told Heat Players To Stop Being Friends With LeBron James After He Left Miami

Udonis Haslem and Norris Cole said on “The OGs” show that Pat Riley told Miami Heat players to stop being friends with LeBron James after the NBA legend left South Beach in the summer of 2014.

LeBron left the Heat in the offseason of 2014 and went back to the Cleveland Cavaliers. 

LeBron spent four seasons with the Heat. He won two regular-season MVPs, two championships and two Finals MVPs. 

The Heat went to four consecutive NBA Finals in the LeBron era. They lost to the Dallas Mavericks in 2011, beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2012 and the San Antonio Spurs in 2013 and lost to the Spurs in 2014. 

LeBron averaged 26.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.7 blocks with the Heat. Miami will retire his No. 6 jersey one day. 

LeBron has career averages of 27.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.7 blocks with the Cavaliers, Heat and Los Angeles Lakers. He has made an NBA record 20 All-Star teams. 

LeBron is first in NBA history in points, second in field goals, fourth in assists, ninth in steals, fifth in triple-doubles, seventh in points per game, third in player efficiency rating and eighth in 3-point field goals.

LeBron has won one title with the Cavaliers, two with the Heat and one with the Lakers. He’s the sole player in NBA history to win three Finals MVPs with three different franchises. 

Earlier this season, LeBron became the first player in NBA history to score 40,000 career points.
