The Heat have signed undrafted shooting guard D.J. Stewart Jr., the team announced in a press release.
Stewart, 22, is 6-foot-6 and spent two years at Mississippi State. He averaged 16.0 points in 33 games as a sophomore last season.
Stewart has appeared in six summer league games, including three at the California Classic in Sacramento, compiling averages of 7.0 points and 5.0 rebounds.
Miami has 15 players under contract, including 14 with guaranteed deals. Others such as Javonte Smart, Marcus Garrett and Micah Potter are also expected to be in camp.
Per Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, Stewart received an Exhibit 10 deal, meaning he must make the team to receive a guarantee. Exhibit 10 contracts also come without the possibility of bonuses.
