Heat Signing Kyle Guy To Two-Way Deal; Waiving Marcus Garrett

Garrett had been signed to a two-way deal but is undergoing season-ending wrist surgery, Chiang noted.

Guy, 24, is 6-foot-1 and has appeared in six games with the Heat after signing a 10-day contract. He was averaging 8.2 points and 2.3 assists through Saturday’s games.

He spent each of his first two seasons with the Kings and attended training camp with the Cavaliers this season. Prior to joining the Heat, he had been playing for the G League’s Cleveland Charge.

Garrett, 23, is a 6-5 rookie who went undrafted out of Kansas, and has appeared in 12 games with the Heat. He will spend the rest of the season rehabilitating his injury with the team, per Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
