The Heat have officially waived guard Terry Rozier, as relayed by Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
The move had been expected for weeks. As Shams Charania of ESPN reported, Miami planned to part ways with Rozier before the postseason, and the team made it official ahead of the end of the regular season.

Rozier, 32, has been away from the team for nearly the entire 2025-26 campaign after being arrested in October as part of a federal investigation into illegal gambling. He pleaded not guilty in December to charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
Miami retained Rozier through the trade deadline due to the potential value of his $26.6 million expiring contract as a salary-matching piece. However, no deal materialized.
With Rozier unavailable and his contract set to expire, there was little reason for the Heat to keep him on the roster entering the play-in tournament.
The move leaves Miami with an open roster spot. The team could use it to convert one of its two-way players to a standard deal, though none of Jahmir Young, Vladislav Goldin or Trevor Keels has played a significant role this season.
The Heat have until Sunday to finalize a 15-man roster.
