This is the time of year when there’s nothing doing with the Cavaliers. Well, unless you consider (mostly baseless) trade rumors.
Truth is, the Cavs are not engaged in trade talks. No one is. Not during the NBA Finals. But at the end of the month, it will be open season. In short, I don’t suspect the Cavaliers will trade any of the Core Four this offseason. President of basketball operations Koby Altman strongly suggested he’d like to keep the nucleus together. I believe him. And there is zero reason to make a trade in June or July. The Cavs and everyone else have all the way to February to make a deal.
