The Hornets have agreed to an Exhibit 10 training camp contract with small forward Cam McGriff, according to Adam Zagoria of Forbes.
McGriff, 23, is 6-foot-7 and went undrafted out of Oklahoma State in 2020. He spent last season in Belgium with Okapi Aalstar, averaging 13.5 points and 5.0 rebounds, then joined the Hornets’ summer team in July.
An Exhibit 10 deal means McGriff is likely headed for the Greensboro Swarm, Charlotte’s affiliate in the G League. If he sticks for 60 days, he’ll be eligible to earn up to $50,000.
Gordon Hayward, Kelly Oubre Jr., Miles Bridges and Cody Martin are all part of the Hornets’ small forward rotation heading into training camp later this month.
