
Kon Knueppel scored 20 points and the Charlotte Hornets rolled past the Boston Celtics, 118-89, on Wednesday night.
Charlotte never trailed and looked in control from the start, pushing its winning streak to six games. The victory moved the Hornets to 32-31, their first time above .500 since Oct. 26.
Brandon Miller and LaMelo Ball each added 18 points, while Coby White finished with 17 points and six assists. Charlotte led by as many as 29 and committed just five turnovers.
The Hornets jumped ahead early, opening the game on an 8-0 run as Boston missed its first eight shots. Charlotte carried the momentum into halftime with a 64-43 lead.
Derrick White paced the Celtics with 29 points. Jaylen Brown added 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Boston struggled throughout, shooting 38 percent from the field and going just 10 of 36 from three-point range. The Celtics also committed 16 turnovers that led to 21 Charlotte points.
