Hornets Waive Small Forward Caleb Martin

The Hornets have waived guard Caleb Martin, general manager Mitch Kupchak said in press release.

Martin averaged 5.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 53 games last season, his second in the NBA. Twin brother Cody Martin has also been with the Hornets for two seasons.

Caleb Martin was likely a victim of a numbers game, as the Hornets are bringing in small forward Kelly Oubre Jr.

Caleb Martin joined Cody Martin and Jalen McDaniels as Hornets who have nonguaranteed contracts.

Martin went undrafted out of Nevada in 2019 and will become an unrestricted free agent assuming he clear waivers.
