The Indiana Hoosiers will hold their first-ever Pro Day for NBA talent-evaluators on Friday, Oct. 7, as relayed by Scott Agness of The Fieldhouse Files.
The Hoosiers are coached by former NBA guard Mike Woodson, an Indiana alum. He also has served as head coach of the Hawks and Knicks, and been an assistant with the Bucks, Cavs, 76ers, Pistons and Clippers.
Pro days generally involve college players being put through practices and scrimmages of 5-of-5 and 3-on-3 in front of NBA general managers and scouts. Kentucky’s John Calipari has been holding them for several years.
Representatives from all 30 teams are typically invited to attend. While opening your doors to the NBA is viewed as a plus for the NBA, it generally serves as a great recruiting tool for college programs.
