James Harden Opts Into Deal, Sixers to Work on Trade Out of Philly

It looks like James Harden has played his last game for the 76ers.James Harden drives by Jaylen Brown.

Shams Charania is reporting that “James Harden is opting into his $35.6 million deal for next season — in order for the 10-time All-Star and the 76ers to work together on a trade out of Philadelphia.”

Charania further reported that Harden and the Sixers have indeed begun working on a deal, “with the Clippers expected to emerge as an interested team.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski also is reporting that in addition to the Clippers, the Knicks “are expected to be among the teams that’ll engage with the Sixers on a potential James harden trade, sources tell ESPN.”

The entire month of June has been filled with stories about the tradewinds surrounding Harden, with some breezes sending him to the Rockets, others to the Suns and still others having Harden stay put in Philly. Now, it looks like a trade will happen. It’s just a matter of who and when.
