Jaxson Hayes Has No-Trade Clause With Lakers

Jaxson Hayes has a no-trade clause in his new contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. 

Hayes has signed a one-year deal with the Lakers three years in a row. 

Hayes appeared in 56 games for the Lakers last season. He averaged 6.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 0.9 blocks while shooting 72.2% from the field.  

Lakers head coach JJ Redick benched Hayes in the second half of Game 4 against the Minnesota Timberwolves and all of Game 5. 

Los Angeles lost to Minnesota in the first round of the 2025 playoffs in five games. 

Hayes, 25, has played for the New Orleans Pelicans and Lakers. He has career averages of 6.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 367 NBA games. 

The Lakers added Deandre Ayton after the big man got bought out by the Portland Trail Blazers. Ayton has agreed to a two-year contract with the Lakers. The deal is for two years and $16.6 million.

Between the Blazers and Lakers, Ayton will make $34 million next season. 

In 40 games for the Trail Blazers last season, Ayton averaged 14.4 points and 10.2 rebounds while shooting 56.6% from the field and 66.7% from the free-throw line. 

Ayton has career averages of 16.4 points and 10.5 rebounds. He helped the Phoenix Suns reach the NBA Finals in 2021.
