The Jazz have signed forward Danuel House for the rest of the season, the team announced in a press release.
“He’s been part of some really productive deep playoff run teams, is a rotational player, even a starter,” Jazz general manager Justin Zanik said, via the Deseret News. “He was available and we just looked at him as like, ‘Hey, this is an opportunity.’”
House, 28, is 6-foot-6 and has previously signed three straight 10-day deals with Utah. He has appeared in 24 games, averaging 5.6 points and 2.4 rebounds (through Thursday).
That includes seven games with the Jazz, with whom he is scoring 8.3 points in seven appearances. He also appeared in one game for the Knicks this season after spending several years with the Rockets.
“He wasn’t eligible to sign another standard 10-day contract with the Jazz, who in turn aren’t currently permitted to sign a player to a hardship 10-day,” wrote Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors.
