The Jazz were one of the NBA’s most pleasant surprises last season, particularly at the start of the year.
Now, they will try to run it back with largely the same cast, led by coach Will Hardy and All-Star forward Lauri Markkanen. They also added forward John Collins in a trade with the Hawks.
And it all begins with a game against perhaps an even bigger surprise in the Kings — who are coming off their first playoff appearance in 17 years.
Per James Ham of The Kings Beat, Utah will host Sacramento to tip off the 2023-24 season on Oct. 25.
Sacramento, of course, is led by reigning Coach of the Year man Mike Brown, and features the likes of point guard De’Aaron Fox and center Domantas Sabonis.
The Kings will open their home season on Oct. 27 against the Warriors, per multiple reports. They then host the Lakers on Oct. 29, Ham noted.
The full NBA schedule is due out Thursday at 4 p.m. EST. Until then, we will continue to keep you updated with any leaks.
