The Jazz are signing small forward Danuel House to a 10-day contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
House, 28, is 6-foot-6 and was waived by the Rockets back on Dec. 17. He then signed a 10-day deal with the Knicks, appearing in one game before the Knicks opted to release him.
While his opportunities were limited with the rebuilding Rockets this year, he has proven to be a fairly solid player in reserve, averaging 8.8 points and 3.7 rebounds last season.
Jazz forward Joe Ingles just entered health and safety protocols, meaning the roster fell below the league minimum of 14 players. Teams are allowed to carry 13 players, but only for two weeks.
“We’ve seen teams with 14 players complete hardship signings that don’t count against the cap this season, but it remains to be seen if a club carrying just 13 players would be granted the same leeway,” wrote Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors.
