The Jazz intend to waive guard Leandro Bolmaro, per Shams Charania and Tony Jones of The Athletic.
Bolmaro, 22, is 6-foot-6 and has played sparingly since being selected with the No. 23 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. He didn’t sign a deal until 2021, making this his second NBA season.
As part of the Rudy Gobert trade with the Timberwolves, this marked Bolmaro’s first year in Utah. He has appeared in just 14 games, after playing 35 as a rookie with Minnesota.
Per Andy Larsen of the Salt Lake Tribune, the Spurs previously showed an interest in Bolmaro.
Yeah, that they didn't play him even when 89 point guards were out last night was a pretty bad sign for him.
I heard the Spurs might be interested at one point. We'll see. https://t.co/idDVL8MlkN
