The Jazz have waived small forward Jarrell Brantley, the team announced in a press release.
Brantley, 25, is 6-foot-5 appeared in 37 games over the previous two seasons, both with Utah. He compiled averages of 2.4 points and 1.3 rebounds during that stretch.
His best play in the pros came with the G League’s Utah Stars, as he averaged 18.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 2019-20, earning first-team All-G League honors.
“Brantley, a two-way player, had accepted a qualifying offer of $1.66MM from the team in early August,” noted Dana Gauruder of Hoops Rumors. “The Jazz will only incur a cap hit of $54,414 by waiving Brantley, Bobby Marks of ESPN tweets.”
As it stands, Utah has one two-way slot available, with Trent Forrest holding down the other. (Full post.)
