Count the Bulls among those that would have interest in trading for Jazz center Rudy Gobert should he be made available, per Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer.
Gobert has also been linked to the Raptors and several others, though again, it is not yet known if the Jazz intend to deal him.
Several league sources have told Hoops Wire they believe the Jazz will at least explore Gobert trades this offseason.
With Danny Ainge serving as main basketball executive, you can be sure Utah is very open to making moves in an effort to improve the roster. First, of course, they will need to hire a coach, as Quin Snyder stepped down after eight seasons.
But without a doubt, other changes could follow.
While Gobert could be available, it is believed the Jazz are determined to keep star guard Donovan Mitchell.
“Gobert signed a five-year, $205 million extension with the Jazz before the 20-21 season,” RealGM noted. “Gobert has a player option for the 25-26 season.”
The Bulls are in similar spot as the Jazz, with a nice core, but perhaps missing another fit that could take them to another level.
