Free agent point guard John Wall is in talks with Italian club Armani Milan, per BasketNews, via Mundo Deportivo.
Wall has been a free agent since February, and after holding a workout in front of multiple NBA teams in Las Vegas last month, remains that way today.
Wall, 32, was traded from the Clippers to the Rockets at the trade deadline, then immediately waived. He actually sat out the entire 2021-22 season with Houston as both Wall and the team sought a trade — to no avail.
He eventually landed with Los Angeles prior to the start of last season, when he averaged 11.4 points and 5.2 assists, shooting 41 percent from the field, in 34 appearances. The No.1 overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, Wall was rumored to have drawn some interest from the Wizards, the team with which his career began.
But that was at the end of the season, and Washington has made several significant roster changes since then.
In other words, at this stage, signing in an international league may be Wall’s best bet if he hopes to continue playing and find a path back to the NBA.
