Free agent guard Kendrick Nunn has asked Greek club Olympiacos to wait until the end of August for him to sign an offer sheet as he seeks a return to the NBA, per Konstantinos Melayes of Gazzetta.gr.
In other words, Nunn is seemingly hoping for the NBA to call. If not, he very well could be headed to Greece. This news comes in the wake of reports he has parted ways with agent Rich Paul and Klutch Sports.
Nunn, 28, had a breakout run while with the Heat from 2019-21, when he averaged 15.0 points and shot 36 percent on 3-pointers. But he’s been unable to put together those types of numbers since, appearing in 39 games with the Lakers last season before a February trade sent him to the Wizards.
In Washington, Nunn averaged 7.5 points and hit a career-best 39 percent on threes.
Per Melayes, Olympiacos has agreed to give Nunn more time as he seeks a new deal from an NBA club ahead of training camp, expected to start the first week of October.
