Free agent forward Kenneth Faried has signed with the Austin Spurs of the G League, the team announced in a press release.
This actually marks the second straight year in the G League for Faried, who appeared in 12 games with the Grand Rapids Gold last season.
Faried is 6-foot-8 and turns 33 years old next week. A first-round pick of the Nuggets in 2011, he spent the first seven years of his career in Denver. He last played in the NBA with the Nets and Rockets in 2018-19.
During an eight-year NBA career, Faried compiled averages of 11.4 points and 8.1 rebounds, mostly as an energy man around the rim. That said, he’s not a great floor spacer or rim-protector, clearly limiting his appear to NBA teams in recent seasons.
