Kentucky freshman guard TyTy Washington is entering the 2022 NBA Draft, where he is expected to be among the first-round selections, as relayed by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Washington is expected to forego his remaining college eligibility by hiring Kevin Bradbury of REP1 Sports as his agent, Wojnarowski reported.
Washington started 29 of 31 games as a freshman with the Wildcats, averaging 12.5 points, 3.9 assists and 3.5 rebounds. But Kentucky was stunned by St. Peter’s in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Most mock drafts have Washington being selected somewhere between the late lottery and late-middle of the first round. ESPN, for instance, lists him as the No. 14 prospect on its big board.
He becomes the second Kentucky underclassman to declare for this summer’s draft, along with Keion Brooks.
