The Kings have officially acquired shooting guard Chris Duarte in a trade with the Pacers, Sacramento announced in a press release.
Indiana is receiving the Kings’ 2028 second-round pick (via the Mavericks) and their 2030 second-rounder.
Duarte, 26, appeared to be the odd man out after taking a step back this past season, following a strong rookie year.
The 13th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Duarte averaged 13.1 points and shot 37 percent on 3-pointers as a rookie. But his role diminished in 2022-23 after the addition of talented wings Bennedict Mathurin and Aaron Nesmith.
Now, he’ll get a fresh opportunity in Sacramento, which already has Kevin Huerter and Malik Monk at the position.
